In 2011, I was discharged from my employment. With that a humongous weight was lifted from my shoulders. But I still felt that where we were living was still impacting significantly on our quality of life. Pete was also feeling a little stale and despondent in his job, and in our town. We were both feeling the need to be closer to family, the majority of which were over 1000kms away. As parents, we decided that we would move our little people and leave our home of ten years. We were happy and sad, and excited and overwhelmed all at once. Our not so little home had blossomed over the years, with the additions of our two little people, but also with the major renovations we had done. We struggled for many years with a semi functional house. But with a plan to leave spurred us into action, and the finishing touches began.
As we began to make plans and enquiries as to where we would go and live, there was this little idea sinking into our heads. It was something we had longed dreamed of but never thought it would be possible..........
Let's travel around Australia as a family, with no real plans, just going with the flow.
And so the seed was planted and it too blossomed. Now it's a fully fledged plant, and you get to see where we spread our branches too, and get a bit of an insight into parts of Australia and life many people never get to see.
